He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. In 2015\, he began working as a lab instructor at the same university. With over 10 research papers published in various IEEE conferences and journals\, Eng. Koubayssi has also provided supervision and guidance for numerous undergraduate and graduate projects. He has worked at Global Affairs Canada\, the UNDP in Ukraine\, and with an organization serving refugees in Jordan. He is a top 30 under 30 York University alumni\, Rhodes scholar finalist\, and recipient of the national Canadian CGS-M scholarship for his paper on the relationship between gender and mobile internet use in Afghanistan. \nChrista-Maria Daoud: She is a driven individual who has dedicated herself to community engagement and building. As a Business Management student at Lebanese American University (LAU)\, she has achieved academic excellence and received a fully funded higher education scholarship from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).\nIn addition to her academic achievements\, Christa-Maria has demonstrated a deep commitment to social and humanitarian causes. She volunteers for over 12 hours each month with various NGOs. During the event\, students will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of power management\, electronics\, power electronics\, coding\, and circuit design. Through engaging workshops and interactive sessions\, participants will gain valuable insights into the world of robotics and engineering. They will also have the chance to compete with their peers to design and build a small robotic car using Arduino technology. With a focus on hands-on learning and practical skills development\, Robocar 1.0 promises to be an exciting and enriching experience for all attendees. No need to have any robotics background from students because they will learn the basics from our experts and how to assemble it. After that\, each group will try to assemble the robot and they will compete together in order to meet the best robot performance within a predefined time duration.
